HUMAN RIGHTS AND ADVOCACY TRAINING
Dear IF Members,
Please share this invitation with your members aged 18 - 35.
IF is excited to announce that the ‘IF Human Rights and Advocacy Training for Youth with SBH’ will return for 2020 in an online format. The training consists of several small-interactive sessions which provides you with a wonderful opportunity to further your skills and understanding of disability rights and advocacy, and to connect with individuals across countries who are facing similar situations as you.
The change in format enables IF to take a different approach to the training than in previous years. Sessions consist of 1.5hr online meetings on the following Mondays at 5PM (Brussels time): November 23, November 30, December 7, and subsequent sessions will be announced at a later moment.
The training sessions are open free of charge for individuals with SBH aged 18 to 35.
Do you want to:
·Learn more about the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the impact it can have in your community?
·Connect with other young individuals with SBH
·Receive individual support from experienced people with disabilities in the field of human rights and advocacy?
·Have access and support to observe and participate in upcoming IF events to see human rights centred advocacy in action?
·Have your say in the topics covered in subsequent sessions and receive training and advice on issues most important to you?
Then register now!
Only limited spots available, so apply soon!
The sessions will be in English and the ability to communicate, write and participate in such language is required. However, no prior knowledge of human rights or disability advocacy is needed but please do indicate in your application form about your background so our trainers can adjust their programmes accordingly.
In order to provide small, supportive and interactive learning experiences spots are limited. Registrations must be received before 4pm (GMT+1) November 20th through this link.
Please note that registrations will close once available spots have been filled. We recommend that you don’t leave it until the deadline to register as registrations may close before then.
